Ordering
Once your order is confirmed, you will receive an email with your order number and a full summary. If you don't see it within 15 minutes, please check your spam folder or contact us at hello@yaopu.com.
We begin processing orders immediately, but we will do our best to accommodate changes within 2 hours of your order. Please contact us at hello@yaopu.com as soon as possible. Once an order has been dispatched, we cannot modify or cancel it, but our returns process is straightforward.
Every YAOPU order ships in our signature gift packaging — a lacquered presentation box with silk lining and a hand-tied ribbon — at no additional cost. We also offer a personal message card service. Simply add your message at checkout.
Yes. Every YAOPU design is produced in a strictly limited edition of 88 pieces per colourway. Once a design sells out, it is retired permanently. Each piece carries a numbered certificate of authenticity. You can check the remaining availability of any design on its product page.
We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and bank transfer for orders over $500. All transactions are secured via SSL encryption.
Shipping
We ship to over 130 countries worldwide. For a full list, see our Shipping Policy. Certain remote territories may have extended delivery times.
Standard international shipping takes 5–8 business days. Express shipping (available at checkout) takes 2–3 business days to most destinations. All orders include tracking from dispatch. For in-stock pieces, orders placed before 2pm CST are typically dispatched same day.
Complimentary standard shipping is available on all orders over USD $280. Orders below this threshold are charged a flat rate of USD $18 for standard shipping, or USD $38 for express. We periodically offer free shipping promotions — subscribe to our newsletter to be notified.
Import duties, taxes, and customs fees are not included in our prices and are the responsibility of the recipient. These vary by country. We recommend checking your country's import threshold before ordering. Our packages are shipped from China and declared at full value.
Returns & Exchanges
We offer free returns within 30 days of delivery for unworn items in original condition with all packaging and documentation. To initiate a return, email returns@yaopu.com with your order number. We'll send a prepaid return label within 24 hours.
Yes. We process exchanges the same way as returns — simply note in your return email that you'd like an exchange and specify the alternative piece. Given our limited editions, we cannot guarantee exchange availability, but we will do our best to accommodate you.
This is extremely rare, but if your piece arrives damaged, please photograph it and email us within 48 hours of receipt. We will arrange a replacement or full refund immediately, with no need to return the damaged piece.
About Jade
We use two varieties of natural jade: nephrite (软玉), primarily from Hetian in Xinjiang and Qinghai; and jadeite (硬玉), sourced from certified Myanmar origins. Both are natural, untreated stones. We never use dyed, treated, or synthetic jade ("type B" or "type C" jade).
Every YAOPU piece ships with a Gemological Certificate from a certified independent laboratory, confirming the stone's species, origin, and treatment status. You may also contact us to request an independent verification at any time in the piece's lifetime.
Natural jade is a stone, not a manufactured material. Even stones from the same quarry will show individual variations in depth, tone, and texture. We consider this a virtue, not a flaw — your piece is genuinely unique. Significant colour differences from photographs are always noted on product pages.
Yes, and this is one of jade's most treasured qualities. Nephrite jade will deepen and warm subtly with prolonged skin contact over years. This process — called 盘玉 (pán yù), "tending jade" — is considered deeply meaningful in Chinese culture. Your jade will carry your history.
Jewelry Care
Clean gently with a soft, lint-free cloth dampened with warm water. For gold components, a drop of mild dish soap is safe. Never use ultrasonic cleaners, steam, or chemical cleaning solutions on jade. Dry thoroughly before storing. Bring to us or a trusted jeweller annually for professional cleaning.
We recommend removing all YAOPU pieces before swimming, bathing, or exercising. Chlorine, salt water, and sweat can affect both the jade surface and the gold setting over time. Brief water exposure is not harmful, but prolonged immersion should be avoided.
Store each piece separately in the individual silk pouch provided. Jade can scratch softer stones and soft metals can scratch jade, so separation is important. Keep away from direct sunlight and extreme temperature changes. The YAOPU presentation box is designed for long-term storage.
Warranty
All YAOPU pieces carry a 2-year warranty covering manufacturing defects in the gold setting, including clasp failure, prong wear, and chain breaks under normal wear conditions. The warranty does not cover accidental damage, loss, or jade breakage resulting from impact.
Yes. We offer repair services for all YAOPU pieces, in and out of warranty. In-warranty repairs are complimentary. Out-of-warranty repairs are priced based on the work required. Contact us at care@yaopu.com with a photo of the issue for an assessment.
Custom Orders
We accept a small number of bespoke commissions each year, working directly with Dr. Liang Wei. Custom commissions start from USD $2,000 and typically take 8–12 weeks. To enquire, please email bespoke@yaopu.com with a brief description of your vision.
Yes. Bridal commissions are a meaningful part of our work. We have created custom engagement rings, wedding bands, hair ornaments, and full bridal sets incorporating family jade stones. Please contact us at least 4 months before your wedding date to ensure we can accommodate your timeline.
